Shirley Al - Local Clay Artist on the Elora-Fergus Studio Tour....pay her a visit this week at the Studio Elora
THE STUDIO ELORA
With a BFA from the University of Waterloo and an MA in Design from Stanford University, Shirley brings years of technique and an impeccable eye to her clay sculptures. Uniquely hers, they reflect a play on the human form with elements of imbedded nature and organic movement. The result is whimsical yet richly enticing. Works can be seen at The Studio Elora and the Barber Gallery, Guelph.
Currently, Shirley is working on a “Study in Collaboration” with studio partner Jo Lomas. Finished pieces will be the creative combination from a left- and right-handed approach to large-format painting and clay works.
